Our Story

Little Bee Baking is an organic bakery located in Bernal Heights in San Francisco, California. With a primary focus on local and seasonal ingredients, the bakery offers neighbors and visitors to Cortland Street a selection of fruit tarts, cakes, cookies, and other treats whether you're out for a stroll or looking to order a custom order cake or dessert for your next special event. 

In addition to our baked items, we have a full range of Take & Bake cookie, pizza and pie doughs. We also offer house made seasonal preserves, Irving’s Challah Bread, Bernal Bakery Loaves, Chef Steph granola and Bernal Bears honey. 

Our desserts are available for wholesale. We can also cater desserts for your company event, bridal or baby shower, wedding, birthday, or private party.

Stacie Pierce opened Little Bee Baking in October of 2013 with the desire to combine her love of baking with her love for her neighborhood and local community. 

Stacie started her cooking and baking career back in 1994 with many twists and turns along the way. Most notably, prior to opening Little Bee Baking, Stacie was the Pastry Chef at Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California, for just shy of nine years. 

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Stacie studied and worked in Oslo, Norway, before settling down in San Francisco.  Stacie is delighted to be part of the Bernal Heights community, and is excited to offer her neighbors and visitors a place to catch up with each other over a coffee and a sweet treat.
